If you're a seasoned gambler you'll be disappointed with the Horseshoe in Cleveland. Only the name associates itself with gambling but not the type and atomosphere the originator, Benny Binion, intended. Benny's motto was: Good Gambling and Good Eats. The Horseshoe in Cleveland delivers neither. The first (and last time) visit was a weekday at 7am. The place was empty. Am ususally a $3-$5max bettor and within two hours was ready to leave. The last machine I played was an Eye of the Dragon; betting $4 a spin and came upon a bonus of 40 'free' games. My horror when it resulted in only $238.00. The small food court, was closed. No where to grab a quick morning muffin. The only place to eat was the breakfast buffet. A friend who accompanied me, is a small bettor; and got no play. It was bad. The parking garage is not attached to the casino. It's a short walk away, double crossing a busy downtown intersection. Though the parking garage offers valet parking, one still must walk and cross to the casino, in downtown Cleveland streets. Smoking is allowed just outside the casino doors. I'll stick to Detroit casinos where I can park, play, eat and win.
