    Thumbs down Horseshoe Name Only

If you're a seasoned gambler you'll be disappointed with the Horseshoe in Cleveland. Only the name associates itself with gambling but not the type and atomosphere the originator, Benny Binion, intended. Benny's motto was: Good Gambling and Good Eats. The Horseshoe in Cleveland delivers neither. The first (and last time) visit was a weekday at 7am. The place was empty. Am ususally a $3-$5max bettor and within two hours was ready to leave. The last machine I played was an Eye of the Dragon; betting $4 a spin and came upon a bonus of 40 'free' games. My horror when it resulted in only $238.00. The small food court, was closed. No where to grab a quick morning muffin. The only place to eat was the breakfast buffet. A friend who accompanied me, is a small bettor; and got no play. It was bad. The parking garage is not attached to the casino. It's a short walk away, double crossing a busy downtown intersection. Though the parking garage offers valet parking, one still must walk and cross to the casino, in downtown Cleveland streets. Smoking is allowed just outside the casino doors. I'll stick to Detroit casinos where I can park, play, eat and win.

and smoke lol. Well i don't care about morning muffins and i have no problem crossing a street, and yes @ $4 a spin $238 is disappionting but not sure if we can blame the casino on that one... Wherever you decide to play...Good Luck!!

I have been there 3 times,Have lost and won. It's not that bad.Yes the parking is across the street,it's a temporary casino. I'm a smoker, but it's ok by me. You can go outside to smoke. Try it again, give it a chance. And by the way my last win was 1446.00. I think that's a pretty good win.

I was there last week and also disappointed. I did have a short walk from the hotel - stayed at the Rennaisance (sp?). The buffalo machine teased me a bit - got $144 on a .40 bet so that isn't bad but that was it. Something about the layout of the casino kept me turned around - which I'm sure is just what they intend. Lots of security when I was there; but one was so intently watching the craps table that I had to say excuse me twice before getting his attention.

They sure are polarizing people with this casino, because it seems people either love it or hate it.

We went to Horseshoe yesterday, for the 10th time. This was our first evening trip. Our host came up and introduced himself to us. He also gave us a food comp. But let me tell you,i don't think i will ever go on a Sat.night again. It was so packed,You couldn't go anywhere without bumping into people. We did okay again winning. We have done all around pretty well. Like i said before,Not sure i love it,but it's so darn close for us. I'm sure the newness of it will wear off soon. I know i want to go to our favorite casino soon,Seneca, They just sent us alot of FP,Plus i'm in need of a good get away for a few days.

Never been to this casino, but I sure used to do better at the Horseshoe casino in Tunica when Jack Binion still owned it. I've heard many others say the same thing.

I had my FP at Seneca tripled for August and Sept too.
