At my local casino we have this coat check girl that always asks "so...how did you do?". I don't mean to be impolite but quite frankly it's none of her business.
Yes, they ask you how you did in order to guilt you into tipping. If you tell them you won, the thought to tip large might cross your mind and to be ashamed if you didn't tip at all.
