I just got back today, so it may take a few days to get everything together. But I do have a start on my TR.

I left home at 6:00 am Sunday to go by work and feed all the orphans before going to Harrah's Cherokee. I left there at 7:00 am and arrived at Cherokee at 9:00am. I had planned to have breakfast at the buffet, but it was closed. So I stopped at DD and grabbed a cup of coffee and started playing. I started out on a losing streak, but soon started winning a bit. Just trying to get back a little at a time. At 11;30 I went to the food court just off the casino floor and got a slice of pizza from Uno. I didn't want to get too much because I had a reservation at Ruth's Chris for dinner at 6:00. Hit the floor again and played until 4:00 check in time. I took my car over to the hotel valet and grabbed my bag to go check in. The room was not ready yet. Checked my bag and went back to the casino and played for another hour. Went back to check in, and the room was still not ready. I wanted to change for dinner, but could not do so. I was wearing shorts and a polo shirt. Dress for the restaurant is business casual. I knew there was no way I could make it by this time, so I had the front desk call to make sure I could get in wearing shorts. It was OK. So I went back to the casino until dinner. The restaurant is right on the casino floor, so I was on time and promptly seated. Not too many people eating here on this Sunday night, so the service was very quick. I had the Caesar's salad and petite filet and lobster tail. I have never done food porn before, but I will this one time for you guys.

After dinner I had to walk it off for a few minutes before returning to play some more. I played until about 10:30, having won a nice little bit of money. I'll show the videos later.

I was up early as usual, and got coffee on the casino floor. Their coffee is really good. I strolled through the newest parts of the casino and took some video. Here's one for Paw Paw's bride!!

Here's some more of the inside and outside focusing on the water features. My video doesn't really do it justice. But take my word for it, it is very nice.

some great vids....you know its sad I still have not checked out the waterfall and I have been there 2x since the new addition.....tells you where my focus is.....cant wait for the slot vids...hope you took some money off Cherokee, no easy feat

It was still very early, as the sun had just come up. I pretty much had the entire floor to myself, so I played hard until time for lunch. I checked out Johnny Rocket's at the food court for a burger and fries for lunch. Then went back to the casino floor and played until 6:00, at which time I got busted for videoing my play. The security guy was very nice about it, almost apologetic. He very nicely explained that I was not allowed to video in the casino. I told him I was sorry and put the camera away and did not video my play any more. I was hungry and went to the buffet for dinner. Afterwards I took the video of the inside water feature posted previously, and was busted for a second time!! Apparantly, one is not allowed to video the water features either! Still pictures are OK, but video is not. Again, the security guy was very nice about it. I had been talking to the guy prior to being busted and had actually been taking video of one side before going to the other side where I was talking to him. I told him my camera did have a still picture option and showed it to him. So I took a couple of still pictures and left. I went to the casino floor and played three more games, winning a couple of hundred dollars and left the casino floor. I ended up winning a little over $800 for the trip.

The videos that I was able to get will be forthcoming. I've got a lot of reviewing and editing to do.

Hi, derek. The rotunda is a very nice feature. It's hard to miss!! And yes, I did win some money this time!!

Enjoying the TR so far DW - Harrahs Cherokee looks like a very lovely casino.

I've never done food porn yet either - I feel a little awkward taking pics of my food! But I am drooling over your food! I am so in the mood for Caesars salad!

Can't wait to see the slot videos - thanks for sharing with us

Really enjoying your report DW!! Nice videos so far, thanks for taking those and sharing with us!! Cherokee, is one of the nicest casinos out there right now, they just need to loosen up those slots!! Glad you came home a winner, and I look forward to more vids!!
