I'll be glued as well starting tomorrow night with the opening ceremonies! I think that's my favorite part because I love seeing the other teams beaming with pride!

My husband is from Argentina so we pull for each others countries until we have to play against eachother - then it's ON! LOL

Hi MrSlotNoodles! We've been getting the 'footy" coverage here, too. They have also been hitting us with the warm up games in basketball. I do plan to watch quite a bit of the Olympics. I'm really interested in the track events involving Mr. Bolt again. And Australia has a female hurdler that is amazing; and ALWAYS smiling! And she does a cute little dance when preparing to start each race. Say hi to the Mrs., please

Having just had the Olympics here in 2010 it's funny how the "mistakes" are always the first to hit the media! Happens to every country 'cause they've never been perfect! Enjoy your "turn" and I will be catching some events I'm sure!

I'm enjoying the media circus for sure. Isn't that an Olympic sport too?

I had a whole different vision of "cock up", but I get it...yes I will be glued to the TV and reading about aal the coverage. In fact I'm working 1/2 day Friday and then driving to Coushatta...I plan to gamble a bit and then watch the opening ceremonies...love watching the countries march in. Also want to see what Danny Boyle has in store for the show. I like swimming, track/field, soccer/football, & gymnastics.

What time is it live? (US CDT)?

Always enjoy the Olympics. Someday I hope to make it to London, I am pretty fascinated with the Royal Family.

I am a HUGE sports fan so I will be glued to the tv during the olympics. Excited about the opening ceremonies- i bot the DVD of the opening ceremonies from the Beijing Olympics. That was one of the most incredible things I have ever seen and I'm sure tomorrow will be lovely. No terrible press here except the issue with the security guards and of course the US scandal about our Olympic athletes' uniforms being made in china so there is plenty of bad press to go around thrilled that the games will b starting soon

Well, I am sitting here at SeaTac waiting to board BA48 Non stop service from Seattle to London/Heathrow. (Seat 14B) Its amazing to see all the Olympic spirit here at that gate. Lots of Union Jacks & other red/white/blue bunting. I worked almost a full day & fought my way through traffic down to the airport. I'm tired, and looking forward to dinner & a good sleep. I wont be going to the Opening Ceremonies, we couldnt get tickets to that top draw event, (My cousin & her husband, Kim's parents, do get tickets though) so I will watch it on the television like everyone else. My first event will be Saturday afternoon, GB vs AU. This is going to be a tough fight. Hope Kim & her team mates can overcome Lauren Jackson and her Aussie team mates.

I'll try and send perioric updates as I have have internet access.
