H5G / IGT games are hugely popular. 90%+ of the IGT games I've been buying are H5G. This is a big blow to IGT and a big win for Bally.

This is interesting. I wonder how long until we see a Bally/H%G game on the floor.
It is what it is.
Warren,
Did I read somewhere that IGT does the math models for the H5 games?
Might be a local thing Warren as these machines (the new ones) always sit empty at Hollywood. The older ones still get some play. Poor Slotspert thought he had a handpay for a full screen. It paid $20![]()

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that some were IGT's math, but I don't recall seeing that. Maybe Steve from H5G will chime in.
There are some full screen pays that are in the $20 range on thoseBut, what you're looking for on some of them are the double symbols, like on "The Dream" where it starts off with something like 5 credits but the double symbols count as two symbols and you'll run up to 200 X 40 lines X 4 coins per line (on a $1.60) bet. That's worth $320.

Excellent responses, Warren. While these machines don't hit the mark for me, clearly, they are hitting the mark for quite a few people! That means more people staying off the machines I want to be on. Har har har!
Most of their games are of the low variance and I've sat down and played many of them and find it incredibly hard to get a BIG win. Their newer games seem to be tailored to those that like low variance slots. I do not. The only decent hits I have ever got on any of their games is Whale Song/Figaro type games. But the problem with them is the minimum bet to cover all lines is 90 cents. I pay attention at my locals - many of these banks of games sit empty. The games I see people flock to are WMS, Konami, and Aristocrat. They are always busy with players. I've tried to like many of the High 5 games and I just get incredibly frustrated playing them especially the Black Widow type games.
Yeah, Figaro and the Charleston can really pay out, but $1 bets for all lines on a penny machine sucks. (Or 99 cents or whatever weird number it is).
