Default Mlife, Total Rewards and Advance Booking for Vegas...

My GF and I are planning our annual Vegas trip for Feb of next year. I'm a Gold level, (almost Platinum Mlife member) and also a TR member. I have various offers from Mlife and TR (Mlife is 3 nights comped 200 FSP and $50 food) TR is 2 nights at most properties with $25 in FSP. All of my comps for rooms on both sites expire in either Sept or Oct.
My question is this: Should I reach out to a host or player services about getting compped rooms in Feb or should I wait and hope/assume I will have simular offers available to me when Winter offers arrive? My GF likes to have every planned out way in advance... I'm just curious if hosts can make offers that early of if I'm better off waiting?
Side note... I have offers at almost all the Mlife properties, what are your fav Mlife properties to stay and play at? Any pro's or cons I should know about?

    Hi Dan,

I am like your GF I like to plan ahead and have everything taken care of. I am a Platinum member with MLIFE and they have treated me well. I don't use a host i just book through the on line offers. My favourite is Aria and I try to stay their if possible. I like the location and the decadence, the GF likes the pool and spa.

It can't hurt you to try and reach out to a host and see what they can provide. You can always cancel and take a better offer if they come in.

    Have fun

My experience with this as a Platinum player with MLife. I am the same. I like to have my ducks in a row - well ahead of time. I got several hosts who were willing to book rooms for me, but not the complete offers. I politely thanked them and told them I like to evaluate the entire package, including food and free play. Don't get me wrong, I appreciated the room offers, but like I said, I like to see the complete offer.

As far as the corporate offers go, the summer offers we have go from 7/1-9/30. That would tell me that most likely the next batch will go from 10/1 to maybe the end of December or January - so you still might be out of luck.

I don't think player services would be able to help you at all. They have very little flexibility in what they can do. I think your best bet would be to call a host. Good luck!

With TR try going on line and seeing if you can book a room for you trip in Feb. For myself my rooms are comped without using an "offer". Sometimes your play is enough to get the room comped automatically.

I am currently Platinum but will go down after the rollover. I've been out of the country and will be gone till next april. I called mlife and the representative asked a host about me getting a room for next year. the host told the representative to note on my account to give me the platinum rate when i book my room later this year. They wouldn't give me a free room but a discount is better than nothing.

    Hi Dan!

Out of all the MLife properties, I really love an rec Aria. The rooms are clean, great mix of games, and you an access Bellagio, Monte Carlo pretty easy via a Tram. It's also across the street from Paris, Planet Hollywood, and Cosmopolitan. Also there's free WiFi throughout the whole property.

Regarding whether you should book in advance or in the future. I have to ask you first. Do you plan on going and playing at a MGM property before Feb? and how is your play? If you are getting a $200 FP and 3Nts, that's a pretty good deal and I think your play is pretty good to get that kind of offer. The reason why I ask if you're going prior is because...if your play is going to be less than your historical average, when you go to book your FEB stay, VIP or a Host might see your last play as not being up to par. However, if you do plan on going back, and playing a lot, I say wait and then talk to a host. If you're not returning until FEB, I say call and talk to VIP or a Host and book your FEB stay now. They will evaluate your current play on record and most likely they can offer you something nice.

Hope this helps. WIN BIG IN FEB!
