Have you won anything from a Casino drawing or Promotion?
There was a post yesterday about a Fresno man winning $1million from a drawing...Which made me wanna ask, have any of the SMF members won anything big in a casino drawing or promotion? Would love to hear your stories...
As for me, I did ok in some drawings:
Planet Hollywood: 2nd prize of $2500. The even was closed off to about 50 players, but the more you played the more entries you had. I remember only have a measly 11 physical entries when the other players had like stacks and stack and stacks of tickets. I couldn't believe I got picked!
Lake Tahoe Dinner and Drawing: Everyone invited to the dinner only got 1 drawing ticket. When you get drawn, you go on stage and pick a sealed envelope revealing a prize from $300 - $10,000. I got drawn midway through the night and picked a lucky envelope for $2000!
MontBleu Lake Tahoe: Weekly electronic drawing, prizes from $100 to $500. I got drawn for $300.
Peppermill Reno: Casino Promo, electronic drawing, prizes from $100 - $1000. I got drawn for $100.
Let's hear your stories!
I was with my cousin at Coconut Creek and they picked 10 people to win up to 1,000$ free play. My cousin got picked and had to sit on stage for 3 minutes and not laugh while a comedian told jokes in his face. He didn't laugh and got the max free play. He left with almost 1,900$ that night and me 0 lol. He gave me a hundred though because I made him feel guilty
NICE! good job on the guilt trip. haha jk!
i never win these things.
Think I posted this story on here awhile ago but here goes.
The Palms had a drawing last May were they drew 10 winners from all the virtual entries. The first 3 people drawn got to play a game and the 4th-10th place got set amounts of cash. I was drawn 5th and was lined up to get $1000 in cash. The 3rd and 4th numbers drawn weren't there so I was bumped up to 3rd place and got to play the game. The 1st place and 2nd place winners were husband and wife.
There was a board with 4 envelopes and the numbers 1,2,3 and 4 on the back of them. You could move the hidden envelopes any way you wanted and you were allowed up to 3 moves. So you would at the minimum get $1,234 and maximum get $4,321.
I switched the 2nd envelope with the 4th one as my first move and was gonna leave it like that. Then at the last minute I decided to switch the 1st envelope with the 3rd one as people in the crowd were telling me not to switch them.
The guy revealed the last number first and it was a 1!! I was psyched since I knew I was getting at least $2,000+! Then he revealed the 3rd envelope and it was a 3! I now knew I was either getting $4,231 or $2,431. When he revealed the 2nd number in and it was a 2 I knew I was getting $4,231 and ran around the food court giving every one high fives!
We went in to a small room by the cashier and they paid me in cash. I tipped the people running the game and went off in to the casino to play with my new found jackpot money.
Here's a picture of the board with my winning amount on it:
And here is a few pics of some hit's I had later that night at the Palms:
WOW! That sounded really fun. Congrats on the win...That reminded me of a drawing I was in many years ago. I got called up to play "High Card". There were about 5 rounds...If i guess right all 5 rounds, I woulda gotten $5000 freeplay. I struck out after the 3rd round, leaving with $1500 free play. Not bad =)
I'm sure I posted this once as it happened a couple of years ago but it was a great win so here goes. I was invited to a Wynn Slot Tournament and drawing. After the tournament they had a drawing with tickets you had earned during the tournament time. The top drawing prize was $7500 free play and you had to be present to win. The drawing began and the bottom prizes were awarded. It came time to draw for the top prize and bam the person was not there. Time to draw again. Before drawing the host got us cheering a little and I had a drink in my hand. I handed the drink to my husband and said, "hold this, I'm going to win". The name was drawn and I said my name inside my head just as the host read my name as the winner.
It was fantastic. I won the $7500 FP as well as an additional $500 FP from the tournament for a grand total of $8000 FP. My husband and I had a great time playing it and actually was able to turn it in to $6000 cash.
My dad has won one casino drawing, about 7 years ago at Tachi Palace in Lemoore (CA). It was a fathers' day drawing and there were 3 top prizes and he the entertainment prize which was a 50" Panasonic TV, blu-ray player and surround sound system. The next year, one of his bosses won a red Chevy truck from the same Father's Day drawing.
I got called once years ago @ Thunder Valley Casino in Sacramento. 10 People got called up 1 chip had $10,000 everything else was $100~$300 + $500 FP. I got the $125 + $500 FP. Sucked i didn't win the $10,000 however I did win $1,400 w/ the $500 FP
