Avatars

I do not know where to post this thread

I am new to this forum and am trying to post a avatar for myself and just cannot seem to do it.

I have a bunch of avatars in my pictures on my computer and tried to post one going that route and the picture came up in my profile but when I posted my first thread here to introduce my self I noticed it did not take

I then tried to post a avatar by going thru tiny pictures like I do on another site and still it will not take so hope some one can help me out here.

My understanding is that the avatar situation is being looked into by the site administrators and is yet to be available to all.

Welcome to the forum, btw.

Keep in mind that if/when the feature is available, it will have the potential to slow the speed with which the pages will load on a long thread, perhaps only noticeable, though, to those with slower connection speeds and older systems.

Ok, thanks and I do now see that my avatar is showing when you click on my profile and it is right by my name.

I just wanted to know what I was doing wrong here cause I use avatars in all the forums I belong to and this had me stumped.

Now I see it is not me but that only some can use avatars right now.

Inaminute is correct. The owners of the site are doing an upgrade and looking into the avatars actually posting on threads and posts. The moderators right now are the only ones that work, I have no idea why but as soon as there is a change I will notify everyone. Welcome to the forum!
