I finally decided to go to Harrah's in PA yesterday and had a blast. I won some, lost some, won some more and lost even more, but it was all in good fun. If you sign up for the player's card you get $25 Free Slot Play right up front (they don't make you play first for awhile until you reach a certain amount of points), you get a $10 Food coupon, and a one night free stay at any of their sister properties in AC. I would say that is a pretty nice deal so of course I took full advantage.
Ultimately, I told myself that I was going to start out on $1 slots first and then if no wins after a certain amount ($40-50) then move down to 50 cent, then 25 cent, etc. . . Well, after only a $5 hit on the $1 slot I started to wander around and was pleased to see a few machines I had yet to play like Monopoly JS, WOZ, Super Jackpot Party Progressive, Star Trek and a few others. However, there wasn't a seat empty at any of these banks which I was a little disappointed by, but decided to just look for something that just caught my eye. I had never played Kingdom of the Titans Spinning Streak before and as soon as I inserted my money and pushed spin all these volcano's (I think) appeared on the screen and gave me 20 Free spins. After those spins it paid me $200 on a 90c bet I was quite happy about that. Kept hitting for a $100 here and there but again no handpay . So after several hours later I was ready to go and decided to at least walk out with $20 when this bright idea came to me to remind me that I had $25 Free Play at Dover Downs that I thought started at 5A on Sunday. So I used my handy GPS to calculate how much further away it was and it was only 1 hr away. I like to drive so anything under a 4hr drive is nothing to me.
It was about 2A when I left and thought since time sprung forward than I should def not have to wait around to use it when I get there. Well, got there and to find out that their play day is from 6A-6A. I was soooo frustrated, mostly due to getting a little sleepy at this point, so I ended up going to the ATM which I didn't want to do, but since I had gave everything back to Harrah's there wasn't any choice and I was not about to drive back home since I was already there. Anyhoo, only a small $100 hit on Forrest Wild. However, I did get to witness an actual top JP get hit at about 5A by this woman playing Quick Hits 5cent denom. I was about a row over and she started screaming and jumping up and down. She had 9 QH and it paid out $13,000. Even though I didn't win it, I was still excited. Now I know there is hope for me, LOL!!!!
