Default Secrets of the Forest/Renoir Riches

    Hi Folks:

I had a chance to play these IGT games (which are mathematically identical). I really enjoyed it.

It is a game from "High 5 Games" -- and is cosmetically similar to IGT's " Rembrandt Riches" and "DaVinci Diamonds". However, you get 3 lines for each paid line, resulting in an unusual 33 coin bet, covering 99 lines.

IGT calls it Tumbling Reels -- and I have to give them some credit. With the 99 lines, they have added something new to the genre. Do not be fooled by 99 lines, however. It is still difficult to bag a bonus round. It's a standard free spin bonus, and not necessarly very exciting.

Like the previous games, this is not for everyone. In the days of "High Volatility", this one may allow you to raise your bet a little, as there are frequent small and medium sized pays. There are less larger pays, and I personally can not comment on the chances for a JACKPOT -- but I'll say -- they are not very good.

I would recommend these games to fans of the genre ... and this is usually an economic way to get some play out of a $20 bill. It may not be the most excitement in the casino, but it does give you some play.

Are you sure it is a 33 coin bet? At our casino to cover all lines it is 99 cents.

99 cents when I have played it as well. I have it on video. Interesting. Perhaps it is like Princess of Paradise... the version I played was 15 lines at Red Rock. Then I saw Zims had played it with 30 or 40 lines (I don't remember) maybe you saw it in a different format?

There are two versions. Just depends on which one your casino has. There is the standard (ZimsWhims) and the 3 for 1 version (The Shamus).

IGT is doing that with a variety of games right now as Deb mentioned.

    Interesting ...

Here is a link to the "3-for-1 version I played":

As I suggested, this is a LOW volatility game. You can raise your bet up. Lots of medium and small size wins.

In my opinion this is the worst slot machine I have ever played.

Betting 99 cents I did not bag a win over $10.00, did not bag a bonus round, and overall it just was a horrible experience. Graphics are stunning, everything else is NOT.

I didn't care for Secrets of the Forest either. But to be fair, I am not a fan of cascading reel games. I do like the graphics on this game, I thought they were beautiful. I didn't think they pays for any more horrible than some of the other games I have played !! lol

I played Secrets when we were in California a couple months ago. I had lots of fun, several bonus rounds with good return. But, it was .99 and that is at the top of my comfort level for penny slots.

Just saw these at the Emerald Queen for the first time. I'm glad they aren't so many years behind, like some other games we get here!

I can't wait to try them!

Along with Secrets and Renoir, there is also Michelangelo, which seems to be the most popular. The graphics are top notch and I have found myself almost put in a trance watching. Because they are new, the sound is pumped up to be way louder than normal, so when every game is occupied and the sounds and graphics are going it can quite the scene. I found myself upping the bet from .99 to three and four dollars a spin in no time. I would never do that on any other slot!
