Greetings, everyone! It's been awhile since I posted so it's good to be doing so with some good news.
On 2/13 I traveled to Mohegan Sun in Wilkes-Barre, PA to use my $15FP and $40 from a previous casino visit win (that's another story). Not much of a bankroll, I know, but I didn't expect to stay long so it was fine. Anywho, I decide to try out $10 of the FP and $20 cash in the high limit room--to no effect. Yikes, I thought, I'm definitely not going to be here long.
I wander into the regular slots area and eye up a circle of machines that was good to me last time--Reel Winners Instant Spin 1c. You know these, right? You slap the spin button and randomly have a chance to spin the wheel which wins you something like $1.50 to 50,000 pennies. Well, some of these machines also pay up to x5 on the wheel depending on your bet (last time I won $100 twice that way playing the $1.50 max) however all of those were busy so I sat at the only open one which would just trigger an instant spin with no multiplier.
Not the machine I wanted but then I only put in my $5 FP so no loss whatever happened. I played the minimum 30c until I had enough to cash out if I played the $1.50 max once. I slapped the max bet button with a sigh and then the machine sprang to life with an "instant spin!" Okay, I thought, maybe I can win some of that lost money back from the high limit room. With these machines, the higher you bet, the more you stand to win on the wheel.
So, around and around the ball goes and it finally comes to rest on...50,000!!!!!! I was stunned at first and had to do some decimal point moving to figure out how much that was ($500 of course). One of the casino workers happened to be walking by and said, "Great job!" and high-fived me. It was a great casino moment, and it tied my biggest win ever.
The sad end of the story is that I tried to enhance the win by playing max on other machines and then in the high limit room as well to no avail. I did leave with $100 which was still $60 ahead so I guess it wasn't too bad of an ending. Hopefully I'll have another tale of winning as I'm heading to Parx today in Bensalem. Thanks for reading!
