Anyone here won something in a casino raffle... etc? I never bother with casino raffles or giveaways myself - just brings a mob of people to the casino playin' my favorite slots ... not to mention many times you get more "entries" by earning points on your player's card and as a $0.50 - $1 per bet player I stand no chance against the max betters anyway..

Not me, not yet, but our casino has a promo on Friday. They're giving away duffel bags and some of them will have prizes in them. Of course, the prize we want is the $1000 in free slot play which will be good until March 1st. Are you kidding me? We'd burn that up the same day, nevermind the expiration date!! Wish us luck!

Nope, not us either but we chased some for a while. One we still laugh about was my brilliant idea to go a few years back on a Monday night for a truck giveaway. Logic told me that a crappy Monday night weather wise coupled with the fact that Monday Night Football had the Cowboys- Redskins meant few people would bother going to Ok for a truck prize. Logic lost that big time.

The parking lot looked like half of Texas was there- what big game? Evidently if there is one thing better to a lot of Texans than a game with the hated Redskins on MNF it is a chance at a free truck. We made a few others after that for big prizes or giveaways, a Halloween one and a really bad New Years Eve one (just WAY too crowded) and that was it for us and promotions like that.

Too many people, hard to get a machine and a lot of these things require you to be playing with your card inserted. Hard to do if almost no machines are open.

I won $100 once. It was a promotion where you play and they randomly pick someone to give $100 to once an hour. It was at Bronco Billy's in Cripple Creek, CO. I was so shocked. They were there with a microphone and I made them wait until
Denny was out of the restroom! I wanted him to hear them announce my name! LOL

Last year at Joliet Empress, I came in 2nd in a drawing, won $2500.00! I don't usually enter, because I don't like the policy that you have to be there at the drawing to win, but this one didn't have that. If you WERE there, you won an extra $200.00. Interesting that for taxes, it wasn't considered gambling, so I couldn't deduct any loss. It was considered a prize, and just went on the income.

We never go because of the crowds,way too many people. Even the slot turneys here are like that,and they want you around all day. Must be present to win.

I've won a few times, but it's been awhile now. Of course I don't go too often for drawings anymore. My biggest win was $2500 in a drawing. I REALLY worked for a $250K drawing, but no such luck in that one.

I won A $200 gas card from the casino queen in 2008. They picked a machine or table game and if you won you got to pick an envelope out of a drum. i think there were $20 to $500 gas cards in the drum.
