Default Brag About the Last Jackpot You Hit

Thought I might break the ice with a jackpot story. I mean, who doesn't want to brag a little about their latest win?

The last time I was through the Shreveport & Boggier City part of Louisiana, I stopped and played some slots at the local Horseshoe Casino. I hit a $400 jackpot. It might not have payed for the trip, but it certainly helped.

It wasn't the last (or biggest) jackpot I hit, but it was one of the most memorable. I was vacationing in France about 12 years ago and was delighted to learn that a small casino was located down the road from my hotel. That night, I was fortunate enough to hit a jackpot totalling around $250 US Dollars. I thought that was pretty cool.

I've never actually won a large jackpot. I've had lots of little wins here and there, like $100 or so, but never a big jackpot, no.

I'd like to win a big jackpot though.

Just keep trying, Slotty. Lady Luck is bound to smile upon you, eventually.

Does $50 count? I don't really count it as a jackpot because I was upside down at least $500 at the tie and kind of bitter about my luck. It was kind of a chaser. But technically if it had been during a standalone play it would have been a mini jackpot?
I wonder if the computer was egging me on.

The last really big jackpot I hit was in Las Vegas for 7000.00. But, I was in New Mexico a few months ago and hit a jackpot of 150.00. That wasn't too bad I guess. It helped pay for my hotel for two nights. I am planning to go to Vegas in January and I hope to have a big hit there.

My biggest jackpot was $5,000 on a 50 cent machine. I was sitting with my fiance in the high limit area earlier that night, watching other people play and thinking it must be great to be able to play $15 a spin. My fiance got tired and decided to go to the room to sleep, and I asked him for $100... knowing how quickly it would disappear on a $1 machine, I headed to the 50 cent area. My intentions were to try to raise some money so I could go play the $1 machines later. I started off not to bad, made $30 profit... then I switched to a machine on the opposite side. Just as I was about to cash out, I hit for 10,000 credits. I was so shocked and happy... ran to the phone to call my fiance down. That was back in December 05 at Showboat in Atlantic City... have not had a big hit like that since.

Hi Everyone!
Those of you htat have never won anything more than 100 or 150 bucks, can I ask what kind of slots you are playing? I have found that the penny and nickel slots are usually good for maybe a small payout but the higher denominations always have better odds and larger payouts. I play quite often at a local Indian Casino as well as a few trips a year to Vegas and have hit some pretty nice jackpots. I play mostly dollar and quarter machines, depending on my bankroll for that session.
Last week , in Vegas I hit a blazing 7 machine at Harrahs for 1,500.00. Later that day, at the MGM Grand, I hit for 1,100.00 on a Majestic Lion dollar slot.
The night before we left, I played at Pechanga and hit a QuickHit progressive for a little over 1,000.00. I used to like to start out on the Blazing 7 quarters and if I won a few hundred bucks on that, Id move on to dollars. That has worked out for me quite well a few times. But, at the casino near my home, there arent many good quarter machines to play. The ones they do have usually have someone on them. I have found that the Blazing 7's, QuickHits and other machines that have stand alone progressive jackpots are usually my best bet. At least I can look at the jackpot and know more or less if that machine has recently payed out a huge jackpot.

3 time winner in less than 24 hours at Cherokee Casino in Tulsa on the same machine, a $5 Money Bags:

Friday: $1,600
Saturday $ 4,000
Saturday $ 2,400

The last jackpot was hit within a few minutes of the second.

Your playing strategy is very much like mine! I mostly play Blazing 7's and Quick Hits because you can kind of, sort of, "guess" if it's going to hit soon or not.
