At the Caesars Indiana casino in Elizabeth, Indiana, a faulty slot machine paid out $487,000 to an unknown number of gamblers. For two days, the machine gave players credit for 10 times the amount of money that they put in.
The mistake was discovered when a player noticed the error and reported it to the casino. She was given a $200 voucher in exchange for her honesty. A report by the Indiana Gaming Commission says that the machine may have been mistakenly set for use in the Philippines instead of the United States. Officials at the casino say that they plan to get their money back, but the casino may also be fined for failing to follow procedures intended to prevent such a problem.

Wow, I am surprised something like this would slip through the cracks. With all of the regulations. Plus think about the cameras and security around the casino. For two full days something like that going unnoticed is a really big deal. I am glad a customer decided to report it. And I am glad the casino rewarded them. We need more people like that.

I'm a little confused... so if you put a $100 in, played it a bit, and cashed out at say, $50... the voucher would say $500 instead?
