Default Sam's Town

I totally forgot about this funny funny incident (well my two friends didn't think it was funny) that happened to me in Sam's Town on the outskirts of Vegas.

My two friends and I decided to go out to Sam's Town to look through their huge western store and after we had finished looking around and buying stuff the exit leads right into the casino. Well my friends wanted to play the nickel slots and since I don't usually play I said go ahead I'm going to play the quarter slots and I'll come over in a little while. So I put my $20 in and started playing and played for about 1/2 hour when I was down to 1 quarter. So I took out my quarter and went over towards where they were playing. I asked a floor cashier to give me a roll of nickels and could she please change the quarter I had for nickels as well. So she tried to change the quarter but her change machine wasn't working properly. She tried, and tried and tried and finally I said for her to forget it and just at that moment the 5 nickels came out.

So I took the nickels and went to look for my friends and they were playing at a nickel progressive slot both at one end of the row. I decided I would play at the other end and I put the 5 loose nickels into the machine and down came AJQ of clubs. So I saved the AJQ and dealt for the other two and low and behold the K10 of clubs hit and I hit the Royal Flush and the progressive. Man were they upset with me so I gave them my roll of nickels and told them to split them. I had won $369.00 and a Sam's Town Winner's T-Shirt.

So I left them and went to play BJ for a while and told them I would treat them to dinner. This is where they got even with me. Most hotels have restaurants that are very reasonable and buffets that are cheap cheap cheap. So they saw an Italian restaurant and the prices were outrageous (which I found out after we sat down) and they picked that one. The bill came to something like $90.00 for the three of us. So they had the last laugh.

That's a great story - even if you did pay a little more than you would have liked for the Italian dinner. I hope the food was good, at least.

Yes actually, the food was excellent. The ambiance was great and we had a great evening in spite of the cost. But to this day they won't go back to Sam's Town whenever we are in Vegas. You think they are trying to tell me something? LOL

Yeah, they do seem to be making a statement alright...lol But the joke may yet be on them since most likely it was a fluke and wouldn't happen again anyway and they don't get the satisfaction of you playng just like anyone else next time.

LOL. There's nothing like doing a little gambling with friends, as it almost always leads to some interesting stories.
